The most recent issue of the German Linux Magazin focuses on synchronization. Within that serie, there's an article about database replication. It mentions Postgres-R as being available under a proprietary license, which is not quite correct. I still consider Postgres-R a prototype, thus productive use is not recommended. But then again, as soon as it is, it will most probably get released under the Postgres BSD like license. Please read the FAQs for more information.
